When the best..arrives!

Its been months since I watched Steven Gerrard kicking a ball! When every website was busy trying to write  about "Life without Gerrard"... amidst those innumerable ones, one particular one fascinated me.I remember it saying "Whisper it slowly, but I enjoy life without Gerrard!I now enjoy watching LFC!".No,don't get the statement wrong. It was all about the feeling of strength you get when you know that your best is yet to arrive.Just think of it in the cricketing sense...imagine a young batsman, relatively fresh at the international stage, knows that his strength is playing against the spin bowling and yet hits 3 back to back sixes of a fast bowler when the innings just started off.And when you look into his eyes at that point of time, you only ever see a champion.Irrespective of what led him to these consequences, that would be a moment to remember. That would be the day when things change. That would be the dawn of Hope and Courage. And then when he knows that the spinners would come around,he knows he has what it takes  to create history.
Well,I may be over sounding...but that's what is happening to me.May be a little far placed example, but I couldn't resist from jotting it down.Every time I read about the latest football happenings...I wait for the comeback of our talismanic captain.Over his recovery time...a lot has changed at Anfield.New speculation..New signings..New backroom staff..New atmosphere and altogether a different place. But one thing didn't change...the way fans perceive him.LFC may have acquired Player of the season's and Young player of the season's.Many new players may have come through the youth system. But what he does on the field is very unique. What he has created at Anfield is nothing short of being hailed 'legendary'.At the end of the day he is our play-maker!
Well, there is a lot of guesswork surrounding his inclusion in the starting XI.People expect him to play on the right flank or a deep-lying role and...whatever.But the point is fans don't see a point in excluding him from the starting team.Yeah...I know, only an insane person would do it! Don't forget...It was he who made Fernando Torres look better. It was he who backed-up a counter attack without outright wingers. It was he who made the fragile midfield look stronger. It was he who delivered those one-of-a-kind passes when his team required it the most.It was he who made those perfectly timed runs into the box, when the team was struggling. It was he who stood strong when the going got tough! And when he said "I am fitter, stronger and hungrier than ever"..that moment re-defined his passion. At the end...he may get back to his old form or as well may not.He may pull out another injury. But the fact is...When you know that the best is yet to arrive...you cannot stop that adrenaline rush! And right now...I am relishing the moment.I am enjoying the feeling of "When the best arrives!" :)
