#2-Can Emotions Hide!

He wasn't crazy!
He wasn't a typical loner!
He was in fact mirthful!
Then why did he have to hide his emotions?

His inner thoughts sparkled with a hidden pool!
A world unknown to his acquaintances!
A mystery which would never unfold before the rest!
For,he concealed his emotions!!

He showcased a million smiles!
Uttered enormously for others surprise!
Made people laugh for the umpteenth time!
Made an impact without exhibiting emotions!!

But,he wan't neither of them from inside!
Little did the world knew of him!
Drenched,alone,in the ocean of silence!
Speculated over his own emotions!!

Life has shown him the hard way down!
Learned from his own experiences!
That, after every dusk arrives a dawn!
And humans hover around with disillusioned emotions!!

Thinking over the thoughts on his death bed!
He faked a smile!
The kind of one which never deserted him through out his life!
The one which has to deal with emotions!!

Sitting alongside him on a riverbank!
I got to know, every moment brings life into a fresh heart!
When tears started to bother his eye lids!
I knew,he would have a mask of disguise!

This time I knew what was going through his head!!
I knew his unique identity!!
I knew his true emotions!! :)

#1-Your Life matters!

Passing through the journey of life!
Somewhere down the line!
I lost the track!
Lost the essence of it all!!

Facing its harsh realities!
Rummaging for inner strength!
Walking through a lethal storm!
Asked myself about 'The road not taken' at all!!

Afraid of taking a stand!
Unaware of its consequences!
Unable to be diplomatic!
I saw through it all!

Exposed to a gust of fresh air!
Closing my eyes in deep despair!
Trying to figure out the actual path!
I visualized it all!!

Arguing with the inner voice!
Explaining the forlorn heart!
That we'll come out of this mess!
I could sense the dots being connected at the end of it all!!

Listening to the favorite lines!
Seeing through the dark nights!
Thinking I'll wake up after an ugly dream!
I sought solace in them all!!

But deep inside I saw Hope!
Courage to fight against the path!
Willingness to face the cruel world!
For...Your Life matters,after all!!

When you have a choice..make it count!

On a fresh Saturday...after bunking a class and attending one...I had four options to spend my evening(Not including the random stuff done on your laptop and the screening of a documentary in LTC).One, go on and attend a crap exam conducted by some random institution coming to the campus which might offer you scholarship for GMAT/GRE based on your performance. Two,follow the pre-planned schedule of attending the first CAT class of the year at T.I.M.E institute.Third, the most easiest one of the lot,is to sit before the Television and cheer my favorite football club...Liverpool F.C when it takes on Arsenal F.C at Emirates stadium in North London.(Obviously heart was craving for it...was waiting for this match since a week).Fourth..and the option which I eventually took up was to attend the "Out of Box" (OOB) conference brought by Conquest 2011.
Conquest 2011 is the International Business Challenge and Entrepreneurship Conclave of BITS Pilani that invites most promising business startups to find the right investors and receive support of dedicated mentors.(A purely geekish sentence..which I managed to borrow from the introduction speech).OOB is a unique one of its kind. This conference has no subject..doesn't address a close community...isn't attended by a particular breed of people. As the narrator says...its motive is to capture the very essence of human spirit and to change the way life is perceived. And true to its word..it has struck a chord with me.The various speakers were Dr.Nampelumarsamy,a world famous ophthalmologist, founder of aravind eye hospital and featured in 100 most influential people in the world list in 2010...KTK Tulshi,a supreme court advocate who fought many high profile casses...Alphonse Kannan,an ex-IAS officer, was fully responsible for making kottayam India's first fully literate district(The best speaker of the day & seriously got a standing ovation)....Vasu Dixit,Composer, lyricist and Swarathma's renegade showman...Sharad Haksar, award winning ad man, revolutionary and creative photographer.
To put it together...everyone spoke about their success story.Everyone spoke about the importance of having an out of the box thinking which by their mere nature fall on the path of inspirational lecture.Every Entrepreneurial work showcased their desire to follow the path of excellence. They had the sense of risk taking attitude which eventually made them become the best. They enjoyed their profession. They displayed passion in their work. They hade the guts to chase their dreams. They had the vision of reaching an ultimate destination. They had faith in them. They had the courage to face every challenge which blocked their way. They had the self-belief which made them to stand up to their full height when it mattered the most. They were never feared of facing obstacles...they hade the ability and talent to convert every one of those into their strengths. For all...(as the speaker says)failed entrepreneurs are far more valuable to this society.Every story depicted a long-fought-struggle.The one which lasted for years in their carriers.yet, beating them all..they were standing before us!(May be..it takes a special nerve for mattering the most!)
Leaving the hall...I couldn't do it without appreciating their inspirational speech.I was touched enough..to walk up to the speakers and say with my full heart..."Awesome speech sir!".May be it was just one of many admiring comments which they got...but I had to complete my part in it.
On the way back to the room...the long walk was set up by the perfect timing of fall of the dusk. The perfect Twilight strike! Then looking back at the day..I though I made the right choice by attending the seminar. Then I remembered a saying.."When you have a choice..make it count!" :)

Life Restarts...or may be it just resumed!

Back to the campus! So far...the journey back had been miles apart from the usual ones.Leaving behind a battalion of family members trying to get a glimpse of you through the air port glass window was really hard. Not that I dont get through it every time...but this time my mom was really sad.Despair was written all over her face.Apparently, both,me and my brother left home within a short distance of time. This was really taking a heavy toll on her.Back on the way...i tried hard to analyse and comprehend my life.'The special thoughts' which would be processed by my mind every time i start the journey.May be brain has a closed box which stores all your ups and downs and plays through it when you feel like scanning your life.
But college changes your mood. All the smiling and beaming faces screamed the enthusiasm in them.Every voice shouted out their freshness.Every face had joy packed eyes looking out for their buddies.Every action reflected their two months of happy vaccation.Every conversation ended with a grin stretching from ear to ear.Everyone seemed rejuvenated and refreshed.(May be everybody goes through the tough journey..but the first sight of friends changes your atmosphere).Everyone flashed a sense of cheerfulness for coming into the third year.
But this time around...the consciousness of having a better carrier was hovering around.People seemed to have already taken the first steps for a bright future. This may not always involve starting the outright preparation...but the thought clarity plays the prominent role. Many of my friends were clear of picking up M.B.A or Masters or for that matter, even a job.May be...I was always bound to leave the decisive factors till the last tick of the clock. After all...if you lived all your life like a maid..one fine morning you cannot digest waking up in a King's soul.
Everyone seems to be prepared for a battle upfront.Everyone were ready to blaze their guns at the first sound of the whistle.Everyone were filled with a packed up arsenal.I just require some time to settle down.Writing down all these..I can surely say my life is about to restart....or may be...it just resumed effectively after a long while! :)
