And Hence "The Roadtrip"!

Exactly seven days back,I remember sitting here and feeling excited about the coming week. With an highly awaited oasis, our annual cultural festival and an anticipated trip to Agra & Delhi all seemed well. But I didn't remember then....that cards doesn't always fall as expected. And henceforth,I was here locked up in my room most of the time..reading a bunch of thrillers and biographies and catching up with FIFA & sleep.
Thanks to Mr.Pareek,I atleast enjoyed the trademark events of the Fest. And notably, the best being Rivaldo's stand up comedy and the Prof. Show by Kailash Kher. And then came the eve of our trip ,where due to a grave misunderstanding of feelings and an epitome of misfired communication,or probably miscommunication, three of us dropped down. And after all, friends are friends and it was just another debate. And the trip to Delhi was still alive, with the rest being interested in Ra.One.Yes,the SRK starrer "Random Access Version One".No,we weren't die hard SRK Fans and are neither of Kareena's.It is just the engineering adrenaline that searches for every possible alternative to get a break out of this place and get a feel away from the continuous evaluation.
And the Journey embarked in an Indigo at the wee hours of Diwali. And within short span, when the three of them sitting in the backseat fell asleep,it was just me looking out into the fields when mind runs at 1000 thoughts per second.Well, may be it was programmed into my mind to think, wish and contemplate at all the solitary times. It was like reel running in front of me and showing various things.I thought of the whether-to-go discussion with friends, the illness feeling which creeped into me a week back,of being at home tonight, the ease with which Manchester City scored against United which was as good as the pace of picking up chips from a packet, the way my poker-faced friend bluffed extraordinarily in the game of cards, the way Agastha Christie knit an absolute thriller around escaping a crime, the way India bounced back to whitewash the visitors, the way my eyes got attention of shopkeepers trying to decorate the colorful crackers with cheerfulness of a bright day ahead amidst the train of thoughts,a farmer holding a plough over his shoulder and walking through the morning wind,a group of athletes enjoying the early morning jog leaving me lamenting over my sleeping timings and fitness levels...and the thoughts went on,but clearly I was enjoying the drive,as always. The fascination for a long drive existed in me far from my childhood and here I was sitting alongside driver(and occasionally having a word him so that he doesn't doze off)enjoying the loneliness with contemplation. And far later, after enjoying the silence & architecture of Lotus temple, the Connought place and the extraordinary Ra.One movie,a sheer visual feast,I remembered that the theme of this year's Oasis was "The Roadtrip".I may not have completed the trip to Agra & enjoyed the complete Oasis, but I have sure enjoyed a real one.And hence,I too completed "The Roadtrip"! :)

Life may not offer you the same chance twice!

The author says...Love,Corruption,Ambition.
Mr.Shukla says ...Power,Money,Respect.
Raghav sees it as a destroyed country and feels the need to start a revolution.Gopal thinks of achieving more than Raghav & getting back Aarti. And Aarti never reveals the inner self under the crazy confusion.
Well,I am indeed talking about Revolution 2020.The book which I started at 00:20..that is exactly six hours before typing this, thinking of reading it for an hour and catching up with sleep. But the gripping narration never really made it happen. The extreme human emotions made it an amazing read, while making it a typical Chetan Bhagat novel handled in a trademark style,in a lighter fashion. The plot may sound simple, but for all those who pour their heart out in reading it will understand the empathetic quotient running in it.Quite often we see,or rather be,a person who delusively handles a situation of judging the other person's feelings towards you.And more often we find ourselves far changed from what we have been a few years ago and feel a jab of knife cutting you up when you see a kid trying to be the same, you have been, at his age.And then, you see a struggler who tries his heart out in bringing in a change, who feels revolution is not a forgotten history but a change which starts from the soul.
Well, the characters are what you feel like have been copied from the world around your life! And the sheer pace with which he connects across,I think, the author made his point drive home. For all those persons, who felt lost after flunking JEE,who felt bad for loosing a dear friend, who bemoaned for knowingly letting down your parents, who felt that your achievements will some day come down to monetary equation and those who have sacrificed your dream for the well-being of others,at some point of your life...you've got to read it.It is the one thing that will touch your heart. It is a Booker-material which makes you contemplate over it for a long time! For,it was a delivered promise from the author. :)

#5-The Transformation!

Once upon a time,
Not long before Dhoni's heroics,
Night wasn't just a period of time,
It was more of a scary experience!!

When the rest of the world,
Rested in peace.
The fearful self,
Looked around with frightening eyes!!

When he asked,
What makes this plausible?
The answer lied,
Right on the tip of the tongue!!

It was a tale of extended inhibitions,
A story of an absolute faint-heart,
A version of a terrifying nightmare,
On the front,it was a juvenile heart!!

But with age,
Grew wisdom and maturity.
And the bestowed onus,
Made all the difference for the transformation!!

When reality restored,
He realized,he was all alone in the extreme times.
Making him better,
With every fall of the dusk!!

When time started zipping,
There came the advent of meticulous changes.
And like all good things,
The transformation went unnoticed!!

But when he contemplated,
Far after the process,
He realized,
Deep down,the DNA has evolved!!

What seemed like a dreadful past,
Had touch-me-not feelings for night.
But right then,
Night was his best friend!!

The one,which makes you realize,
That life isn't all about running behind.
Time isn't all about tracking the more traveled path.
And mind doesn't exist for being trained!!

It was a platform for self-discovery.
A stage for seeing through the picket-fence.
And when he pondered over the entire journey,
His smile reflected the importance of the transformation!! :)
